Why do you charge $20 for a Guestbook when there are free ones out there?
Other guestbook services clutter your guestbook with advertisements and pop-ups. Guestbook World is proud to be completely ad-free with no pop-ups or other annoying clutter. We are confident that you will enjoy your guestbook, and we are proud to announce that we are now one of the few guestbook services offering a one time fee! We only charge you $20 for unlimited guestbook use...way below that of our competitors who are charging $10 to $50 per year. We encourage you to browse the web for other guestbooks and check out their prices and layouts. We think you'll agree that our guestbooks are very professional, and easy to use! Most importantly, our customer service beats any competitor out there. We are here to help...always. We will be glad to assist you with any questions or concerns, and we have a support forum set up that is checked daily!

Can I get a Guestbook or Poll without an email address?
Unfortunately, no. They are designed to offer the option of emailing you when you receive a new entry, so the email address is required. If you do not have an email address, you will not be able to complete the sign-up process. However, there are many places to obtain free email addresses, such as Excite, Yahoo, and Hotmail. Then you will be able to sign up for a Guestbook and/or Poll.

How long do I wait for my account to be ready?
You don't have to wait, it's ready immediately after you set it up!

Can my Guestbook be spammed?
Well it's not very likely, but we can't say "no". However, on our guestbooks, there isn't a way for spammers to automate it. That means that these spammers will have to manually add their site to thousands of pages. Chances are slim that you will receive spam. If it does happen, simply log in and delete the message.

Where do I get the code that I need to link my website to my Guestbook?
After your sign-up, you will see your code displayed on your screen. If you miss it, then check your email. The code is also sent to the email address you specified during your sign up. If you did not enter the correct email address during your sign up, you will have to login to your Control Panel and click the "Generate Link Code" button.

I use the Easy Designer® software to develop my site. How do I put in the Guestbook code that's needed?
First, make sure you have the necessary code ready. After you sign up, the code will be displayed on your screen, as well as emailed to you. If you don't have either, simply login to your Guestbook Control Panel and click the "Generate Link Code" button. Next, copy all the text to the Clipboard and start Easy Designer®. On the menu bar of Easy Designer®, click "Insert" and then "Advanced HTML". Paste your code into the box by pressing the "Control" and "V" buttons together. You can then drag the box wherever you wish and save your page.

My GuestBook entries have the incorrect time. Why?
GuestBook World is located in Central Standard Time. If you are in a different time zone, the time entry will not match your clock. Because we have users all over the world, not everyone's entries will show the correct time-stamp. However, you may adjust your time zone settings in your GuestBook Control Panel.

Why should I host through IX Web Hosting?

Do you own my domain name?
Absolutely not! Our only affiliation with your site is the initial commission we receive from you signing up. After that...we have nothing to do with your site!

Why would they offer everything AND a domain name so cheap?
For starters, a domain name ISN'T expensive. As a matter of fact, you can purhcase them yourself for less than $7 a year. IX Web Hosting is one of the top rated hosting companies available. They offer a top quality price at a competitive price!

If I can get a domain name so cheap, why do some places charge $30 or more?
Because they can. For those who don't know any different, they just pay the price! There are many, many domain registration companies which offer domains under $10. Each company has it's own set of features. Actually, the less expensive companies usually offer you more features! We use www.hostway.com to register domains. You may register your domain through them (or any other registrant) on your own, or get it for free when you sign up for a hosting package!

Can I take my stuff from Easy Designer and put in on my new domain?
Yes, you sure can! Go to Keyword "My FTP Space" and view your files. You can download your files and folders to your computer and then upload them using our File Manager, FrontPage, or any FTP client!

Will you help me learn how to do things?
We will do our very best to help you with anything that may come up, but we ask that you first post your questions in the Support Forums. There are several very intelligent Guestbook World members there that are willing to go above and beyond to lead you down the right path! Our main administrator checks this forum daily, so if your question hasn't been answered, she will take care of it for you!
