Another great great gig by Elkie at Hampton.The audience absolutely loved her and fully showed their appreciation of her wonderful talent !! Once Elkie has been seen - everyone just wants to go to her gigs again and again !! As usual her band were of course superb !! |

My girlfriend (Kate) and I saw Elkie at Bradford's St Georges Hall on July 22nd 2010 and were amazed at the fantastic Show this Lady put on. Can't wait to see her again!!! |

Thank you for a great night at Holmfirth Picturedrome. I am a local and go to the Picturedrome often. This was one of the best concerts I have seen there. What a voice! What a lady! Just one thing to say - old gals do it best!!! |

I fell in love with you and your music back in the 80's. Ever since then it had always been a dream to see you live. There I was, walking down the street in Romford one day in the early 90's and I saw a huge poster of you, and you were doing a fairwell tour. I thought it was my one and only chance. Try for love nor money, I couldn't get tickets, so I accepted that I had lost my dream. Many many years later, I have a friend, a very close friend. We meet up every Tuesday evening for dinner and wine and a giggle. One particular night, he turns up and tells me to close my eyes. I do so with trust, and into my hands he places an object. Upon opening my eyes, low and behold, it's Bookbinders kid. What an amazing gift after all these years. But that wasn't all, he placed on the dining table an envelope, just saying "there's a card for you". Upon opening the card, to my amazement, it was tickets to come and see you LIVE in Lincoln. Hotel booked and transport, the lot. Christ I'm rambling now!. . . . lol. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I couldn't believe how emmotional I could be! I cried uncontrollably through the first half of the performance like a bloody girl!. . . lol I only have a few simple dreams in life. I've had my dream holiday to Cuba and I've seen Elkie Brooks LIVE, right in front of ME!!!!! I don't think I need to tick anymore boxes to be able to die a happy lad. Thank you so much for your commitment to your music and the love of your fans. And, Jesus Christ, for 65yo (and still looking like a 30yo) ur still a MILF! Big shout outs too, to Mike, Steve, Brian, Andrew, Lee and Melvin. What an incredible team. All my sincere thanks to you all for making the dream become reality, Johnboy |

Just wanted to say what a privilege and honour it was to see you last Friday in Holmfirth. I can honestly say this is one of the best live gigs I have ever been too. You are an amazing singer and a true lady.
The intimate setting in Holmfirth, on a lovely summers evening was just perfect and as I am sure you know from the crowds reaction. you are loved and respected.
Keep rocking Elkie and show the young oines how it is done!! |
