Comments We were so glad that the rain cancelled our outdoor plans. That is after we stumbled upon Mt. Mann Jewelers and had a great time getting a tour of his shop and learning about minerals from Mr. Mann. He then recommended we visit the Maine Mineralogy Sluice and that was a blast! Bryan helped make it a great time by teaching us what to look for and describing the minerals. It was great for a rainy day activity but next year we will be back rain or shine! Thanks for a fun time.

Comments The Bumpus Mine was a terrific, beautiful, natural and educational tour! I enjoyed learning about all of the local rocks and minerals that are found in the area. I am now able to identify many different rocks! Seabury was the best guide. I am still thinking about his very interesting and intriguing lecture points. He taught me a lot on my tour and answered all of my questions. In addition to learning about rocks, he also pointed out local flora and fauna. This is a local "gem" and a "must-do" while visiting. The best part was rock-hounding near the mine and being able to dig for my own souvenirs to bring home! I'm glad I spent the time finding out first hand what this area of Maine is known for!

Comments Clare and I loved the time we spent with Seabury learning all about the mining industry and the minerals and rocks we found in the rock hounding part of the experience. We enjoyed the time getting dirty finding specimens of each of the minerals mined. Thanks Seabury and folks, if you want a fun and valuable, educational experience...take in this tour!!!!

Comments Clare and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with Seabury hounding for minerals and learning all about the mines. It was the most educational hands on learning experience we have ever had. You will be hard pressed to find anything better! If you like to get dirty and explore what the earth has to offer you, this is the experience you NEED to have!
