Comments I was so happy to find this site. My GG Grandparents, Thomas Fulton and Margaret (Megaw) Fulton came to America from the Ballynure/Legaloy area in 1900. They were actually married at the Ballynure Presbyterian Church. I hope to some day visit Ballynure to see where my family came from. I know I still have Megaw/McGaw and Fulton relatives in the area. Does anyone know if there is some sort of historical society in the area that might have old newspaper articles, or family files?

Comments Having spent a week in NI researching my gt.gt.grandfather, I found his family came from Ballynure. I found a sister, his parents marriage, an uncle and family and his grandparents. This must go back to around 1790. We visited Ballynure and were welcomed by Thelma in the Presbyterian Church, and shown round it. However, we didn't have enough time there, and I was unable to seek out any graveyard, or any other information about my family. There is a book written by a local author about Ballynure (having seen it in Ballymena Library) but I gather it is now out of print, and I wonder if anyone has a copy they don't want? Does anyone know of any SHARP family or descendants in the village? Are there any graves of SHARP?

Comments Fascinating to see how the village has developed. Spent 3 years on George Court at the end of the 80's and it was the most neighbourly place we will probably ever live. Any chance of a photo of George Court ?

Comments I am a Glasgow boy but I lived in Ballynure for a year. I have travelled the world but My neighbours in the courtyard were the best I've met. Be back to visit one day - miss the vegetable roll & steak sausages from Jacksons the butchers!!!!
