We attended the first four days of come home year,and it was just a wonderfulKeen Time.From our accomondations at the Gannets Nest trailer parkto the late night dances,to the wonderful brunch on saturday noon,right on to the cold plates at the garden party, everything was just wonderful.The people were very friendly and helpful in every way.Abig high 5 to Gloria and Martin Foley ,and their outstanding staff.They are to be commended for their hospitality. Hello there,
I very much enjoyed the pictures on the site. Looks like life in Branch was fun! I'm from little Barasway originally. I recognize some of the folks, Mrs. Gambin used to be my grade one teacher, and Sandra and Aiden Power's family. (Sandra O'Keefe Power is my Godmother). I would love to see some other communities follow your example and do their sites. Yo've put a lot of work in. I loved looking through it!

WHat a wonderful 4 days I had with my family in Branch. I wish I could have stayed longer. It was wonderful seeing family that I haven't seen in so long and if it hadn't been for the BCHY commitee I never would have been able to see all of them. Thanksfor the wonderful memories Hopefuully you do it again some day. |

What a wonderful eleven days in Branch, St. Mary's Bay! Great credit is due to the committee and volunteers. The whole celebration was so family-oriented! It will be remembered for a long, long time! Thanks to all who made 2007 so special.

well i was born in st.brides, and grew up there a few years before moving to the old labrador. my father is david corcoran jr.born in branch. my grandparents are dave and nora corcoran both sadely deceased without getting to know them well. i hope you guys have a keen time wich im sure you will. i love it out ther so much i got married out in st brides last summer.any way just wanted to say hi from wabush.  |

Well, the come home year celebrations are half over and what a blast we had.I am the events coordinator and have to say that I enjoyed every minute of this venture.A fine bunch of people I have truly encountered over this past few days.The committee have worked very hard to keep these celebrations a go and congratulations to them.Also an extreme thank-you to the volunteers who share their time with us and diligently show up without being asked.Branch has once again come alive and it sure feels good to be a part of it.It's people like us that will keep rural Nawfoundland thriving and alive.So let's enjoy the remaining few days of our festivities and rock our way to Sunday,Aug 19,2007. |
